training + Capacity building for Australian communities
Interactive, tailored training for regional communities – virtual and in-person
Having worked in regional Australia for thirty years, we’re passionate about upskilling people so that rural and remote places continue to thrive.
Our interactive training sessions cover topics that grassroots, volunteer community groups, rural sectors and movements most need to hone to achieve their goals – whether they be focussed on people or place.
Delivered in-person or virtually, our workshops are tailored to the community in question. We can even work with you to assess what training needs your communities have.
From three hours to two days, creative or analytical, virtual or face-to-face, we’re flexible, personable and very committed to ensuring your grassroots groups, community workers and regional sectors have the right skills to continue delivering environmental and social outcomes.
WORKSHOP PACKAGES 2022
Grant writing workshops
Our most popular workshop with 100% satisfaction from attendees. We help grassroots groups, land managers, tourism enterprises, local governments and small businesses learn how to win funds and influence panels.
An interactive and hands-on workshop for people wanting to reach an audience to achieve an outcome.
Social media workshops
We work in a light-hearted but strategic way to help anyone already familiar with the basics of Facebook and Instagram improve their digital performance with an eight-step process for better social media outcomes.
Volunteer engagement workshops
This is not a theoretical workshop. We take your community group leaders through a logical process to identify what volunteering means to their organisation, what roles they need to recruit for and most importantly, how to find the right people AND KEEP THEM.
An introduction to group governance for people new to community leadership and committee roles.
Prices vary depending on specific needs, but the average cost for a standard workshop is $2500 ex GST (travel charged at cost, discount for multiple bookings)

Past grant writing workshop locations
We’ve delivered hundreds of grant writing workshops to thousands of community workers over the past 30 years and have received nothing but positive feedback.
Past grant writing workshop locations have included regional Queensland, Western Australia and Tasmania.
Our workshops often take place in locations that are regional or remote. We totally understand the unique challenges of navigating government and bureaucratic programs from out of the way locations. We love working with regional communities to increase grant writing success and there are special considerations for writing grants when you’re based outside of a metropolitan city.
We’ve run workshops from the tip of Cape York to the NSW border, from Wide Bay Burnett, out to Mount Isa, through the iconic Channel Country towns of Longreach, Barcaldine and Winton and right across the Darling Downs, Toowoomba and Maranoa. We’ve helped farmers get grants in Reef catchments from Bundaberg and Rockhampton to Mackay, Townsville and Cairns and we’ve helped graziers access natural disaster funding through the Northern and Southern Gulf and Gemfields of Central Queensland. If you’re working with a regional community that needs to improve its understanding of grant writing, you need to talk to us.
