Schools Smart Giving Program | 20 August

Through this program, funding supports strategic school projects that aim to improve student outcomes. Projects run for 12 – 18 months. $30,000 – $60,000 grants are available. Eligibility criteria here:

Tackling Tough Times Together | 24 August 2021

The TTTT grant program helps communities access the resources they need to support one another through the ongoing effects of the drought. Three funding tiers are available – $20,000 – $60, 000 – $150,000. Grants are available for a broad range of grassroots, community-led initiatives that directly and clearly benefit local communities.

RAF Quick Response Grants | 31 August

This fund aims to support small arts or cultural projects that cannot be funded by other means because of their nature or timing. Funding applications for up to $3,000 for individuals and up to $5,000 for organisations are available through this grant program. There is no minimum amount. This round opens and closes monthly. Explorer’s Grant | 31 August

This grant supports humanitarians, environmentalists, storytellers, innovators and pioneers to make a real, positive environmental impact through photography or film. Grants of $2500 – $5000 are available. To apply:

Queensland Day Sponsorship Program | 31 August

Funding of up to $15,000 is available to community groups throughout Qld for events and initiatives dedicated to celebrating Queensland’s birthday on 6 June 2022. Queensland Day events can be held 4-12 June 2022. For more info and to apply, visit:

Energy Consumers of Australia Grants | 2 September

The purpose of the Grants Program is to build knowledge and capacity to support energy policy development that will benefit the long-term interests of consumers. Three grant streams are available. More at

Australia Council for the Arts – Arts Organisations funding | 7 September

This program funds organisations that undertake arts programs, projects or that provide services to artists. Single projects, a suite of projects or annual programs of activity between $20,000 and $100,000 may be funded. Closing date is Tuesday 7 September 2021 at 3pm AEST. To apply you must be registered in their application management system a minimum of two business days prior to the closing date. More info at  

Australia Council for the Arts – Individuals and Groups funding | 7 September

This program funds a wide range of activities that deliver benefits to groups and individuals in the arts sector. Grants are available from $10,000 to $50,000. More details:

James Frizelle Charitable Foundation Grants | 30 September

Expression Deaf Grants | 31 October

Touring Queensland Quick Response Fund | Open until funding is exhausted

This fund provides Queensland-based artists, arts organisations and presenters (including performing arts venues, galleries and museums, community or local government presenters) with grants of up to support the delivery of touring performances and community engagement activities allied to performing arts or exhibitions touring.  Up to $20,000 available per project. BHP Covid-19 Vital Resources Fund | Open until funding is exhausted

This grant aims to support regional communities where BHP operates. The Fund will support communities in a range of areas such as health services and resilience building during this difficult time. Depending on needs, the support can be in kind or financial donations. For more info:

Small Business COVID-19 Adaptation Grants | Round 2 – Regional Qld open

$2000 to $10,000 is available for businesses and not-for-profits with payroll less than $1.3 million who’ve had to adjust to COVID.  Supports businesses to pay for services such as financial advice, operating costs, strategic planning, marketing, communication, digital technology, digital re-training, upskilling or digital equipment to move operations online. Regional Queensland applications are open now. SEQ applications have closed.

Bushfire Restoration Grants – Tree Planting | Apply any time

The Foundation for National Parks & Wildlife invites applications to support tree planting projects as part of bushfire restoration projects in and around regions impacted by the 2019-20 Black Summer bushfires. This grant provides in-kind support only. To apply:

The Community Chest raises funds to support local communities, charities and other worthwhile causes. It could be in response to a major event like floods or bush fires or something as simple as new soccer balls for the local under 8’s.

Grants fund bold, ambitious, and expansive gender justice movements to create meaningful change that will last beyond our lifetimes. Grants range from $5000 – $30,000 per year. Applications are ongoing. More at:

Outback Queensland Education Experience Program | Apply any time

This program encourages teachers to take their students to Outback Queensland and integrate its rich history and heritage into classroom learning. The scheme provides a subsidy of up to $150 per student to assist towards a school camp in Outback Queensland. The scheme only applies to trips to certain shires. Inger Rice Foundation Grants | Apply any time

The objective of the Foundation is to promote children’s health and funding is for programs/projects which focus on parent/child relationships for children aged between 0 to 5 years. No formal application process. Applications are assessed every 6-8 weeks. Find out more:
