The following list of grants and award opportunities are open to applications or expressions of interest at any time. Please note that this list is in no way comprehensive – but we’re working on it. We endeavour to keep it up to date but if we’ve missed something or a grant has closed, please sing out and we’ll update it.

Courier-Mail Children’s Fund | Apply any time

The Fund maximises its impact and efficiency by only directing its funds to registered charities that demonstrate that they have the specialist skills and knowledge to deliver high-value, life-changing programs to children in need. Apply here:

Inclusive Kids Fund | Apply any time

This fund aims to provide much needed funds that will create better inclusion into community life for children that would otherwise be isolated through poverty, family breakdown, disability or severe illness. This fund targets young individuals aged 0-18 years; fast tracking immediate financial support not covered by other forms of funding.

Crisis Relief Grants for Performing Artists | Apply any time

You can get help by applying for financial support if you are an artist, crew or music worker in crisis. SupportAct will also contribute to the cost of a funeral. To get help:

ContagionOfLove community micro-grants | Apply any time

Black Rainbow are currently offering community micro-grants to self-identifying LGBQTI people of the Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander community. These micro-grants are to the value of $300 and include $200 to assist with hosting Indigenous LGBQTI community events.  They also include Black Rainbow merchandise, including t-shirts. To apply:

Grater Charitable Foundation | Apply any time

Each calendar year the Foundation will provide approximately $1million to programs, based either in NSW or South-East Queensland, which are designed to improve the financial wellbeing of their beneficiaries. Community Initiated Proposals | Apply any time

Under the IAS, the NIAA considers grant proposals that address a need for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people. Proposals must be developed with the community or group who will be impacted by the activity. They recognise that preparing a grant application is a significant commitment of time for any organisation. The Agency will therefore review your funding proposal, before you are asked to prepare a full application. For more info:

Direct Aid Program | Apply any time

The Direct Aid Program (DAP) is a small grants program funded from Australia’s aid budget. It has the flexibility to work with local communities in developing countries on projects that reduce poverty and achieve sustainable development consistent with Australia’s national interest. DAP projects cover a range of sectors such as education, health, water and sanitation, environmental protection, women’s empowerment and gender equality, supporting people with disabilities, economic livelihoods, food security and human rights. Continence Aids Payment Scheme | Apply any time

To assist eligible people who have permanent and severe incontinence to meet some of the cost of continence products. To apply:

Roddenberry Catalyst Fund | Apply any time

This fund makes grants between $2500 and $15000 to support innovative ideas to address urgent challenges across a range of fields, anywhere in the world. To find out more about what this fund offers, visit:

Funding for Charitable Organisations | Apply any time

Registered charities are asked to showcase their social change initiative through an expression of interest. Grants of between $2000 and $14,000 are available. To apply:

Country Education Foundation (CEF) | Various depending on location

This fund supports youth through financial grants for education and employment expenses. Our grants contribute towards apprenticeships, traineeships, cadetships, diplomas, certificate level studies, university qualifications or employment. To find out more:

The Ideas Program | Apply Any time

Script and concept development for films, series and games.  This program is for Queensland-based screen practitioners with engaging ideas that have potential to excite global audiences and secure market.  The program is suited to applicants with projects in development who are seeking investment from Screen Queensland to progress their project to the next stage of development or production. Rural Aid Australia | Apply any time

Rural Aid is offering Primary Producers a ONE OFF $1000 payment to assist with bill expenses. Complete the online application form here:

Touring Queensland Quick Response Fund | Open until funding is exhausted

This fund provides Queensland-based artists, arts organisations and presenters (including performing arts venues, galleries and museums, community or local government presenters) with grants of up to support the delivery of touring performances and community engagement activities allied to performing arts or exhibitions touring.  Up to $20,000 available per project. Bushfire Restoration Grants – Tree Planting | Apply any time

The Foundation for National Parks & Wildlife invites applications to support tree planting projects as part of bushfire restoration projects in and around regions impacted by the 2019-20 Black Summer bushfires. This grant provides in-kind support only. To apply:

IGA Community Chest | Appy any time

The Community Chest raises funds to support local communities, charities and other worthwhile causes. It could be in response to a major event like floods or bush fires or something as simple as new soccer balls for the local under 8’s.

Agriculture Biodiversity Stewardship Package | Apply any time

The Agriculture Stewardship Package aims to help farmers improve on-farm land management practices. It will develop arrangements to reward farmers for protecting biodiversity and identify other sustainability opportunities. To find out more please visit:

Norman Wettenhall Small Environmental Grant Scheme | Apply any time

Providing support for projects (usually under $10,000) that make a positive difference to the natural living environment. Projects must be directly making positive changes to biodiversity conservation in Australia. Next round opens 1 April 2021. More at:

Google ad Grants | Apply any time

Google Ad Grants are designed to help organisations connect with people to make a greater impact on the world. This fund provides free advertising – up to $10,000/month for not-for-profit organisations. Applications are ongoing and considered at any time of the year. To find out more:

Copland Foundation Acquisitions Grants | Apply any time

Assists galleries, museums and historic houses to acquire objects that may come up at auction. Applications are ongong and considered at any time of the year. All applications must be set out on the appropriate form which requires a description of the object, provenance, a full condition report, as well amount applied for and the benefits of its acquisition to the applying institution. Walter and Eliza Hall Trust | Apply any time

This trust was established to provide funding to organisations who provide support to those with a disability or health condition. Must have DGR status to apply. For more info:

Indigenous Native Food Program | Apply any time

Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander businesses and innovators can apply for support to develop and commercialise native food products. Applications for this pilot program are ongoing and open now. More:

Accelerating Commercialisation | Apply any time

This program provides small and medium businesses, entrepreneurs and researchers with access to expert advice and funding to help get a novel product, process or service to market. Find out more here:

BHP Covid-19 Vital Resources Fund | Open until funding is exhausted

This grant aims to support regional communities where BHP operates. The Fund will support communities in a range of areas such as health services and resilience building during this difficult time. Depending on needs, the support can be in kind or financial donations. For more info:

Global Fund for Women Grants | Apply any time

Grants fund bold, ambitious, and expansive gender justice movements to create meaningful change that will last beyond our lifetimes. Grants range from $5000 – $30,000 per year. Applications are ongoing. More at:
