Community grants available in June and beyond…

Arts Queensland – Touring Queensland Fund | 16 June

This fund supports exhibitions, performances and community engagement activities, as well as touring arts and education activities, and artists in residence projects targeted at schools and kindergartens in regional Queensland. $20,000 is available for an artist in residence component of any application, up to $150,000 total per application for a single tour or program of two tours, and up to $200,000 per application for a multi-tour program of three or more tours. Round two closes 16 June and round three closes 13 October.

Budget Direct Sponsorship | 30 June

Budget Direct offers one-off sponsorships of up to $5000 for organisations that provide community services, community education, promote health and wellbeing, advocate for road safety, provide emergency services, support at-risk Australians and build strong, vibrant communities. Gambling Community Benefit Fund Grants | 30 June

The GCBF allocates grants to not-for-profit community groups, to enhance their capacity to provide services, leisure services and opportunities for Qld communities. Grants of between $500 and $35,000 are available for a wide range of projects. This fund is open for applications four times per year. Click here to apply

NAB Foundation Grants | 31 July

RACQ Community Grant Program | 2 August

RACQ Foundation supports community groups, charities and sporting clubs to rebuild after cyclones, severe storms, bushfires and drought. There are three application rounds per year and the next one closes 2 August 2021. Applications for between $50,000 – $100,000 are accepted. More at:

Tackling Tough Times Together | 24 August 2021

The TTTT grant program helps communities access the resources they need to support one another through the ongoing effects of the drought. Three funding tiers are available – $20,000 – $60, 000 – $150,000. Grants are available for a broad range of grassroots, community-led initiatives that directly and clearly benefit local communities.

This fund offers multiple programs to support the community impacted by the Hail Creek Mine in Central Queensland inland from the coast around Mackay.  Programs include:

Touring Queensland Quick Response Fund | Open until funding is exhausted

This fund provides Queensland-based artists, arts organisations and presenters (including performing arts venues, galleries and museums, community or local government presenters) with grants of up to support the delivery of touring performances and community engagement activities allied to performing arts or exhibitions touring.  Up to $20,000 available per project. BHP Covid-19 Vital Resources Fund | Open until funding is exhausted

This grant aims to support regional communities where BHP operates. The Fund will support communities in a range of areas such as health services and resilience building during this difficult time. Depending on needs, the support can be in kind or financial donations. For more info:

Small Business COVID-19 Adaptation Grants | Round 2 – Regional Qld open

$2000 to $10,000 is available for businesses and not-for-profits with payroll less than $1.3 million who’ve had to adjust to COVID.  Supports businesses to pay for services such as financial advice, operating costs, strategic planning, marketing, communication, digital technology, digital re-training, upskilling or digital equipment to move operations online. Regional Queensland applications are open now. SEQ applications have closed.
